| Anthony J. Wiener is professor emeritus of
management at Polytechnic University in New York. He joined the Polytechnic
faculty in September 1975 and served for many years as deputy director
of its Management of Technology program. Prior to this, he taught
economics and political science at MIT. At the time he coauthored
the "Year 2000" study with Herman Kahn, Wiener was chairman of the research
management council of the Hudson Institute, a position that he held for
ten years. He is currently an adjunct
fellow at the Institute.
Wiener spent two years working in the White House during the Nixon Administration, first as chairman of the White House Urban Affairs Research Committee, then as a senior research consultatnt with the President's National Goals Research Staff, where he coauthored, Toward Balanced Growth: Quantity with Quality. Professor Wiener holds a bachelor's degree from Harvard College and a J.D. from Harvard Law School. |
