Andy Hines is ideation leader with The Dow Chemical Company in Midland, Michigan, where his mission is using futures tools and knowledge to turn ideas into new business opportunities. Before joining Dow Chemical, he was global trends manager with the Kellogg Company in Battle Creek, Michigan, and before that he spent six years as a futurist with Coates & Jarratt, Inc., a Washington DC research organization specializing in the study of the future. He is active in the futurist community, publishes and speaks widely and is an editor for The Futurist and Foresight magazines. He holds an M.S. in Studies of the Future from the University of Houston -- Clear Lake (1990) and a B.A. in History and Political Science from Salem State College (1987). |
