Until his death in late 1993, Tom Forester was a senior lecturer in the School of Computer and Information Technology at Griffith University in Queensland, Australia. He was author or editor of seven books on social aspects of computing and related topics, including Computer Ethics, from which the selection in Technology and the Future is taken.
