The 2002 AAAS S&T Policy Colloquium will be held in Washington, DC, on April 11-12, 2002.  Keynote speaker will be Dr. John Marburger, head of the White House Office of Science & Technology Policy and Science Adviser to President Bush.  M.R.C. Greenwood, Chancellor of the University of California, Santa Cruz, will give the Carey Lecture. 

AAAS held a major symposium on "The War on Terrorism:  What Does It Mean for Science?" in Washington, DC, on December 18.  More than 350 people attended.  The proceedings are available in RealAudio on the symposium web site .

The February 2002 issue of Science and Technology in Congress will bring you up to date on the latest developments in the U.S. Congress affecting science and technology.
